The Hotel Riviera is delightful. My Husband and I stayed in a junior suite (508) for our honeymoon. The room was fantastic with a huge amount of space and a superb view of Vesuvius from our terrace. This hotel is elegant, yet friendly and service is always good. The view from the bar is fantastic and having a lunchtime snack there to sample the bar food is a must. Other reviews have mentioned the evening meals- we found them to be excellent. If you chose to eat a little later- the waiters do give you more time. The choice is great and my husband is a fussy eater! As for Sorrento itself, we found it to be perfect- a good mix of cafes and bars, where you can watch the world go by at any time of day. A must is Davide Augusto Ice Cream- the cheapest and best in town. SImply put, we had a fantastic time and would go there again without a second thought.

I have stayed in this hotel at beginning of September for five days, our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples.
Good breakfast, dinner experience was excellent, I would recommend the Bar terrace for drinks and light lunches, but the best thing of this Hotel is the staff, very polite and competent.
I think is difficult to find better in Sorrento and I highly recommend it.

we stayed here in june 2007. Hotel is in great location. about 10mins walk to the town centre (Piazza) the staff were great very friendly and the guys on reception did everything to help us. the bar has music twice weekly- it isn't a lively bar,. we had a side sea view room and it was great- looked out to the bay and saw boats docking- fantastic to wake up to.Room was very nice. Clean and well stocked mini bar- no kettle or iron but they have a hotel laundry service.there is a charge to use the pool and "beach" ( it is a jetty, very pretty - there is a lift from the hotel down through the cliff to it) the hotel also organise trips to the local attractions. Overall we had a lovely stay but as we were a young couple we found it slightly quiet. I was sceptical about the restaurant after reading other reviews but it was good- reakfast was very good.

Mia moglie e io ci siamo stati quattro giorni all'inizio di giugno 2007 e siamo stati benissimo. La posizione è eccellente, a 10-15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Sorrento. Vale la pena spendere un po' di più per avere una camera con vista della baia. Il personale era eccellente, il cibo era molto buono (colazione compresa). Il bar era bello anche se la musica in stile Eurovisione la sera era un po' troppo per me. Comunque c'erano altri spazi per sedere quindi non era un problema.

Un albergo bellissimo vicino ai negozi, bar, ristoranti. Chiedete una camera vista-mare - la vista della baia è incredibile. L'area piscina è bella, una sdraio costa €5 al giorno, provate il molo per bagnanti raggiungibile dall'albergo con un ascensore. Merita andare un giorno a Capri - consiglio di prendere la seggiovia fino alla cima della montagna dell'isola. Ci tornerei sicuramente.
