I stayed at this hotel last year in july and it was fantastic. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was very good and the staff were wonderful - especially thye man that worked by the pool who i think was called nello !!!! He was always very polite and was nice to have a chat with. The walk to the centre of sorrento is not very far at all and meant we could have a nice walk in the evening. I would definatly recommend this hotel to people thinking of going to italy especially at the very beginning of july as the hotel was busy but also allowed you to recieve seats and loungers by the pool!!! I would love to come back again one day

Hotel stupendo. Abbiamo sogiornato con due bambini ed e' stata un'esperienza meraviglosa. Consiglio camere vista mare anche se piu' costose perche' ne valelapena.Atmosfera molto rilassante e la terrazza sulmare e' da favola.Personale ottimo.Ci tornero' sicuramente.

Me and my partner have just arrived home from Sorrento and we are missing it already, we had a lovely stay at the Grand Riviera, the buffet breakfast was good with alot of choice, the evening meals were fine but we did get a bit fed up of the waiter service, it was too much every night and we missed the buffet evening because we were on a trip to Capri, I would suggest that they had more entertainment on and more buffet evenings. We were dissapointed that we had to pay 6 Euros each a day for th sunbeds, I think this should be included in the price of the Hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed there at the end of June and loved it. Our room, 109, was fantastic with an incredible view from the balcony or large windows. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, friendly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering visiting the area.

The Hotel Riviera is delightful. My Husband and I stayed in a junior suite (508) for our honeymoon. The room was fantastic with a huge amount of space and a superb view of Vesuvius from our terrace. This hotel is elegant, yet friendly and service is always good. The view from the bar is fantastic and having a lunchtime snack there to sample the bar food is a must. Other reviews have mentioned the evening meals- we found them to be excellent. If you chose to eat a little later- the waiters do give you more time. The choice is great and my husband is a fussy eater! As for Sorrento itself, we found it to be perfect- a good mix of cafes and bars, where you can watch the world go by at any time of day. A must is Davide Augusto Ice Cream- the cheapest and best in town. SImply put, we had a fantastic time and would go there again without a second thought.
